Data Scientist (m/w) for the area Analytics of the Allianz Private Krankenversicherungs-AG Job Purpose/Role We are an analytics team, using machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence to develop data-driven solutions for international and national business units of the Allianz group. In close collaboration with the business units and the top management we optimize processes, support decision making and develop new business models. As the competence center with expertise in the operationalization of modern analytics solutions, we work on use cases in any insurance segment and thus actively shape the process of digitization in the insurance sector. You will strengthen our dynamic and interdisciplinary team with your passion to accelerate this process. Quickly you will assume responsibility for your own use cases and closely work together with your project partners and IT. You will analyze data, develop machine learning models, implement prototypes and support their operationalization. Independently you will interpret the results of your analyses and discuss them with the top management. Together we will develop innovative solutions and mine Allianz's treasure trove of data. Key Responsibilities * Analysis and visualization of data from internal and external sources to identify new business potentials * Development, prototyping and evaluation of machine learning models and artificial intelligence algorithms * Close collaboration with IT and project partners on the implementation of analytics solutions * Target group specific preparation and communication of results to the top management * Active knowledge exchange and transfer within the team and within the company * Research and exploration of new innovative state of the art methods Key Requirements/Skills/Experience * Outstanding university degree in statistics, computer science, applied mathematics or natural sciences; ideally with PhD * Excellent practical and theoretical knowledge in statistical methods, machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence * Very good knowledge and practical experience in relevant programming languages like R, Python, Matlab or Java as well as SQL * Proven experience in the analysis and visualization of large data sets * High competence in conceptual work and development of innovative approaches * Strong communication skills, a confident manner and assertiveness * Quick perception and solution-oriented and economic thinking and acting * Ability to communicate complex analytical and technical content to a non-specialist audience * High degree of self-organization, individual responsibility and decisiveness * Extraordinary team orientation and ability to work flexibly and creatively * High ability to learn and to adapt new methods, motivation, ability to work under pressure and perseverance (also under time pressure) * Willingness to travel * Fluent written and spoken English, German proficiency is a plus Additional Information Position available as of: immediately Application period: 29.09.2017 - 26.10.2017 In
