Data Analytics Architect (m/f/diverse)
Your tasks will focus on the following activities:
Design detail intensive end-to-end architecture of data analytics solutions from concept to operations including strategies to map data sources and their interfaces, data ingestion and assessment of data structures, pipelines and models, compute, and storage infrastructure
Research, prototype and productionize data and model pipelines together with data engineers to drive PoCs and MVPs leading to solutions in production
Lead the development, testing and deployment of applications by leveraging state-of-the-art data analytics / machine learning methods, data engineering and DevOps tools
Work with business partners to understand and translate functional requirements into technical requirements
Participate in reviews of the designs, prototypes, and other technical deliverables to ensure they fulfill functional requirements and quality standards
Develop standards, patterns, best practices for reuse and acceleration
Provide quality documentation of your design (process and workflow) and implementation including experiment tracking / logs
Take end-to-end responsibility of a module, work independently and where required take initiative to collaborate

Academic degree in informatics, computer science, or comparable qualification
Application development skills - ability to set-up a backend (Python or similar) and frontend (node.js or similar)
Architecture - the ability to create and explain 3-tier architecture diagrams, system context diagrams, and system interaction diagrams
Project based experience of implementing data pipelines and application workflows in cloud (AWS, Azure) or SAP HANA
Project based experience of working with ETL tools and big data workloads with Apache Spark or Hadoop
Experience with SQL (SQL Script, T-SQL) and in-memory database technologies like Oracle / MS SQL Server / SAP HANA
Technical background in algorithmic processing (AI/ML workloads) and advanced analytics concepts
Working knowledge of modern web architecture design including API development (REST, XML, JSON etc.)
Experience or know-how of working with agile methods (Scrum or Kanban)
Business fluent in English (written and spoken), German language skills desirable
Excellent communication skills and capability to present technological concepts coherently to the business stakeholders
Experience with software development practices like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains (such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Experience with container orchestration systems (such as Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Kubeflow)
