Applicant must hold a completed doctorate in computer science, mathematics, physics, biology, engineering or a similar scientific field of study Proven experience in machine learning and/or image analysis such as object tracking, semantic segmentation etc. Sound theoretical knowledge in the field of deep neural network optimisation and training Very good experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow A good command of written and spoken English Furthermore, soft skills such as the ability to work in a team, communication skills, organisational skills and independent working methods are required Experience in building small hardware prototypes such as camera systems and basic microscopic optics Proven knowledge of the associated analytical methods and mathematical foundations of neural networks Experience in explainable AI or other deep learning-related techniques relevant for image analysis.
