Head of Project Management EPC (m/f) About Yara We at Yara are part of a global network, collaborating to profitably solve some of the world's key challenges - resource scarcity, food insecurity and environmental change. About the unit YARA Environmental Technologies is the centre of competence for basic / detail engineering, procurement and turnkey solutions of SCR & SNCR DeNOx systems for power applications. With several hundred of systems installed globally our flue gas cleaning systems are used for the efficient removal of pollutants from flue gas using catalytic & non-catalytic denitrification processes. Hazardous substances (NOx, SOx, Hg, dioxins, etc.) are substantially reduced through an ideal combination of our systems to provide tried-and-tested, leading-edge technologies for environment-friendly power plants and industrial applications. The Unit "Stationary" within the Business Unit Environmental Solutions has around 100 employees located in Austria, China/Taiwan, Germany, Sweden and Poland. To lead our project team for EPC projects we are looking for an experienced and motivated "Head of Project Management EPC". Your Responsibilities Your main objective is to manage and coordinate medium and large scale projects through all phases of design, procurement, construction and commissioning. This is to be achieved by providing leadership for project management function by managing, coordinating, and developing staff and third party project resources and by operating with significant independence and minimal supervision as the principal project representative. * Ensure assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client needs, business objectives and design guidelines. * Manage projects and project managers to ensure successful completion and coordination of all efforts. * Prepare detailed cost estimates and documentation for project funding authorization and interface with appropriate levels of management to obtain funding approval signatures. * Monitor progress, provide financial and technical control and ensure quality of project. * Responsible for ensuring that project managers: + Manage the project team including architects, engineers, workplace consultants, construction managers, commissioning managers and administrative support. + Develop schedules and budgets for assigned projects. + Identify and evaluates alternative solutions to best meet KPIs. + Prepare detailed cost estimates and documentation for project funding authorization.Work cooperatively with and ensures that projects managers * work cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders to clarify specific needs and requirements and keeps stakeholders up-to-date on project status throughout process. Manage efforts of other support functions such as Operations, HESQ, Controlling, Finance etc. * Ensure all projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting customer needs, business objectives and guidelines. * Participate in or oversee the pre-qualification and bid evaluation process for consultants, contractors and other outside vendors and select vendors. * Interact with authorities and regulatory agencies as required to ensure that projects comply with all applicable legal requirements and regulations. * Take care of proper project reporting incl. presentations to senior management. * Support hiring, manage and develop staff. Your Profile * Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering, Plant Construction or related fields. An advanced degree in Business / Management or a related field is an advantage. * 10+ years of experience in the direct management of medium and large scale plant construction projects where acting as EPC with responsibility for site analysis, permitting and approvals, budget control, estimating, design and construction coordination, and project scheduling. * 5+ years' experience in managing and leading project manager / project management resources. * Very good interpersonal,communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to adapt to different audiences. * Excellent technical and analytical skills and a personality that pays attention to details. * Very good command in the use of typical software applied in this industry. * Ability to manage complexity and to work in an international and matrix organized set-up. * Competence to build relationships and motivate teams of people. * English and German fluently. Additional Information The position is based in Vienna/Austria and reports directly to the Head of Stationary Europe & US. The position is subject of the Austrian collective agreement "HANDWERK UND GEWERBE IN DER DIENSTLEISTUNG IN INFORMATION UND CONSULTING".
