International Legal Counsel (m/f/d)
Our business is very international. You will concentrate on all aspects of domestic and international supply-related contracts. You will work in a local core team of contract lawyers who serve as cross function for the Andritz Hydro business divisions with markets in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. You will be negotiating complex project transactions, managing significant commercial disputes and litigation, and will be supporting business people with robust risk assessments. The role will require international travel. The focus of your work would predominantly be with the local business in Ravensburg, Germany, but also with other teams in ANDRITZ Hydro's European offices.
ANDRITZ is a globally leading supplier of plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations, the pulp and paper industry, the metalworking and steel industries, and for solid / liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors as well as for animal feed and biomass pelleting. You are a qualified lawyer graduated from a European law school with a strong academic and a profound commercial background. The passing of the German second state examination and/or a French Maîtrise would be a plus. You have three to six years of post-graduate experience gained in a reputable law firm or an international corporation. Experience in infrastructure projects would be a great advantage.
You are familiar with complex project structures, public tenders, contract splitting, securities, consortia, and subcontracts. Moreover, you are a very good generalist, capable of working in various jurisdictions and dealing with internationally applied standard forms of contract and other legal issues as they arise. Experience with FIDIC Yellow Book and NEC contracts are helpful.
You have excellent drafting and negotiation skills and are a good team player. Excellent German and English (written and spoken) is essential. Professional usage of French is a huge advantage. Skills in further foreign languages are helpful. Moreover, experience with contract management concepts and details are beneficial.
