At our site in Boeblingen, Germany, we are searching for a Business Development Engineer (m/f/d) The vacant job Business Development (BD) is the "representative" of our products & solutions to the outside: to sales and to the customer. We position our solutions and support sales strategies based on product know-how. As a team we support sales engineers in the respective sales region in their daily activities. This position is in the European BD team, supporting customers in Europe, with their associated manufacturing partners in Asia. Located in the business unit in Böblingen, business development acts as a "bridge" between division / business unit and sales. In your role as BD Engineer, you will work closely with sales and manage the contact into numerous departments inside the business unit. You will: Help sales with technical questions about our solutions Assist sales in commercial questions about our solutions Successfully position our solution versus competitive offerings (in front of sales and in front of customers) Introduce new solutions to sales (and customers) and present their benefits Help to organize and host customer visits (tactical and strategic aspects of this) Leverage learnings from account/deal situations and turn them into guidance for other sales situations This position is an ideal entry position into the Advantest marketing organization. Your Profile: Degree in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, business engineering or industrial engineering or equivalent Knowledge of electronics, computers, semiconductors and the associated industry Enthusiasm to continuously learn in the area of electronics, semiconductors and related business areas Willingness to learn complex technical concepts in the area of electronics, semiconductors and test of semiconductors Willingness to learn business & marketing aspects of an international company Excellent communication skills (i.e. open attitude, ability to listen, be able to convince others) Solid presentation skills (i.e. ability to present complex technical facts in easy to understand ways) Fluent English -- spoken and written "Self starter", who can quickly work without constant supervision Ability to collaborate across different departments and multiple geographical regions Solid knowledge of MS Office Willingness to travel (~4x /year, more over time) Experience in semiconductor industry (preferred) Experience in marketing and/or sales related aspects (preferred) Other language (German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean) skills (preferred) We offer: Usage of state-of-the-art technology Teamwork in an international environment Open business culture with flat hierarchies Flexible working times Free space for creativity, participation on success Join our team!
