Focus on dedicated products/technology Perform a correlate cost analysis and costing of BOM positions Gap analysis Calculate options and alternatives Provide input for cost reduction measures and sourcing recommendations Identify and introduce cost estimation and calculation tools Hold bill of material ownership for assigned development project and coordinate cost out measures throughout the development process Monitor and calculate target and component cost and lead cross-functional reviews to ensure progress and completion toward milestones Cooperate with global category managers for perpetual benchmarking on costs and competitive pricing
