Cyber Risk Assessment Expert (M/F)* In autumn 2017, the Munich Re Board of Management resolved to create a central, cross-line Corporate Underwriting Cyber department to take advantage of the expected significant growth in cyber business. The cyber insurance experts have been centrally bundled so they can more effectively handle the main success factors, such as realistic estimates of accumulation risk and the development of service partnerships. The goal is to better support the business units in developing profitable cyber business. Corporate Underwriting Cyber is divided into three sections: Cyber UW Standards & Support, Cyber Actuarial Services and Cyber Services & Innovation. To strengthen our Cyber UW Standards & Support team, we are looking for an experienced colleague to support cyber underwriting excellence and provide technical support for assessing operational business for cyber underwriters in all of Munich Re's areas of operation worldwide. In light of the increasing importance of cyber risk in large industrial risks, in part because of IOT, we are seeking experts with experience in analyzing cyber exposures and assessing the IT/OT- and information security of manufacturing risks. Among others, this service includes both analysis of external risk reports (desktop reviews) and risk inspections (on-site surveys). Your Job: Performing comprehensive information and IT security reviews for Underwriting and Claims Visiting clients worldwide to conduct cyber risk analyses including industrial on-site assessments Evaluating cyber/IT security-related information in reports provided by external consultants Providing support and guidance to underwriters, loss control engineers and others regarding cyber risk assessment and IT/information security, focusing on complex industrial risk accounts Contributing to the development and enhancement of risk evaluation/maturity level standards and services. Developing internal underwriting/risk-assessment tools. Training and supporting internal and external clients. Participating in internal work groups and projects Staying current with new issues and developments on cyber threats and IT security, maintaining a strong knowledge of market environment and industry sources of information Cooperating with external security consulting and product partners to include their know-how and products in the risk assessment and fit external assessments to our needs Supporting the evaluation process for service providers and products with your cyber/IT security know-how Your Profile: Degree in information security or related field Security-relevant certification like CISSP, CISA, CISM In-depth knowledge of IT security systems, standards and procedures (e.g. ISO 27000, NIST, IEC 62443) as well as of industry network architecture and characteristics, including ICS & SCADA systems Minimum 5 years of professional experience in hands-on cyber security fields like security architecture, SOC/ CSIRT, incident management, audit/assessment; operational technology projects in that fields are a plus Strong ability to analyze and evaluate IT processes and potential impact on operations, good knowledge of business continuity management; experience in performing security audits is advantageous Talent for abstract reasoning and for developing a holistic approach, as well as the ability to communicate complex issues to internal and external stakeholders of the insurance industry with non-technical backgrounds in an easily understandable way Fluent business English; good knowledge of German, Spanish or French would be an asset Strong service orientation, high social competence and team working skills, efficient prioritization of tasks, organization skills and willingness to travel Munich Re is one of the world's leading reinsurance companies with more than 11,000 employees at over 50 locations around the globe.
