NVIDIA is looking for a highly motivated Vehicle Adaptation Engineering Manager to join its dynamic and fast-paced customer delivery organization.

In this role, you will be owning the organization’s efforts to adapt NVIDIA’s automotive AI software stacks for automated driving and intelligent cockpit to various target vehicles. In collaboration with Core Development in Santa Clara you will develop and evolve the concepts for abstracting vehicle specifics such as internal E/E networking, vehicle actuation and HMI from the general AI software, and will instantiate the concepts for specific target vehicles. While the focus will be on Mercedes vehicles to which the NVIDIA automated driving stack is ported, the work should be more general in nature so that vehicles of other OEMs may be addressed as well. Management of test vehicles for AI development and validation is also part of this role.

What you’ll be doing:

Work with internal and external partners around the globe to collect requirements for vehicle adaptation and scope out execution plans based on those requirements for particular vehicle models.

Interact with vehicle engineering teams on the customer side to understand target vehicle specifics and commonalities.

Validate vehicle adaptation instantiations.

Orchestrate the build-up of development and test vehicles.

Manage a team of engineers to support you in your role.

What we need to see:

You are dedicated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.

You have proven experience in the automotive product development lifecycle.

You have excellent knowledge of process standards like ASPICE and ISO26262.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

You are able to influence and establish relationships across a matrix organization.

You have managerial skills and successfully achieved your goals with the support of your team members in the past.

MS+ degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related/equivalent degree (Mechanical, Automotive Engineering).

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

You have a proven track record on delivering on automotive programs.

You have an excellent understanding of automotive E/E architectures and perhaps even shaped some of them in the past.

You understand OEM middleware and HMI abstractions.

You worked for an OEM or a Tier1.

You have experience with JAMA, JIRA, DOORS, Confluence.
