Strategy Development

We are looking for a dedicated individual with a strong leadership presence who is able to inspire and excite teams and embodies the role of manager by setting a positive example through their behaviour.

Your Duties – Challenge meets Responsibility

  • Managing the unit Strategy Development and the members of staff assigned to it
  • Responsibility for the results achieved by the unit in fulfilment of its tasks: Coordinating the strategy process within the Hannover Re Group, supporting strategic initiatives, building an innovation network, ongoing analysis of the market and competition, financial planning and multi-year projections for the Hannover Re Group
  • Assuring the continuous and forward-looking refinement of the methods and systems used
  • Active involvement in the department’s management team and a willingness to take on interdepartmental tasks

Your Qualifications – Expertise meets Personality

  • Several years of professional experience in as many of the following areas as possible: strategy, planning, corporate finance, (re)insurance risk and capital management and regulatory framework conditions
  • Profound understanding of the entire (re)insurance value creation chain; experience in underwriting is an advantage
  • Experience in steering and coordinating interdepartmental tasks and projects
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification with a strong concentration in economics and finance
  • Strategic, analytical, conceptual and entrepreneurial thinking; an agile mindset
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient user skills in German and English (at least level C1)
