If you are passionate about what you do, the career possibilities at Dell will be second to none. Within Global Client & Compute Solutions (GCCS), we are looking for a Global Account Executive to join our DELL Technology Select (DTS) team in the south of** Germany**.

Key responsibilities:

The Global Account Executive is responsible for one or more dedicated Key Accounts from the GCCS customer base in Germany and for planning and developing an overall global account sales strategy. Furthermore, this role serves as a lead to the global account team and manages a virtual team in all world-wide Dell and customer locations. Further tasks are:

  • Maintaining account presence by providing a high value-added working relationship with senior customer personnel. Identifying short and long-term sales opportunities (up to and beyond a semiannual cycle). Negotiate global contracts and bring customer requirements and Dell capabilities together
  • Gain share of wallet/spend across Dell’s portfolio of technology solutions; server, storage, networking, software, security and managed services
  • Maintaining and creating superior relationships with senior level executives and influential stakeholders to sustain a long-term relationship. Manage virtual internal team during entire global RFP’s. Uses expanded solutions from the channel and/or third-party offerings as a proactive competitive strategy
  • Leveraged to serve as a coach/mentor, provides customer/industry/market insight to internal leaders and cross-functional groups
  • Provides insight and thought leadership to senior/CXO leadership to position solutions that will positively impact the Customer’s business. Leads company- to-company relationships to develop competitive advantage

Essential Requirements:

  • Greenfield Acquisition strength, able and willing to open new customers for Dell and build first relationship. Strong track record of selling consultancy services or complex, managed projects and of building complex customer relationships
  • Very strong negotiation skills and financial strength. Highly proficient in creating and closing new sales acquisitions. Sponsors and institutionalizes new and innovative ways of working in teams to meet customer needs/sales objectives
  • Recognized internally and externally as a thought leader on Dell’s vision, mission, and portfolio. Works effectively with functional leaders throughout the organization
  • Relays customer feedback to assist with the future development and selling of Dell’s technology, products, and services. Expert level professional, complete understanding of Dell’s technology, product and services portfolio.
  • International travel as required as well as fluent in German and English
