Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google’s key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

Google’s advertising solutions across platforms (Google Ads and Google Marketing Platform (GMP)) have increasingly become more automated, leveraging machine-learning-based algorithms. To leverage these technologies for business growth best, advertisers need to feed the right data signals into these products. It will be your responsibility to enable a team of Data Activation Specialists to help Google’s advertisers not only collect, store, categorize and analyze sales and customer data but also act upon this data in real time by feeding it into Google Ads or the Google Marketing Platform. You’ll be responsible for shaping Google’s overall strategy around Data Activation, working cross-functionally with the Large Customer Sales Vertical Sales Teams, Google Marketing Platforms, other media specialist teams as well as privacy and security experts and Technical Support teams. With your team, you’ll develop scalable approaches to Data Activation that work across customers and can be adapted to specific customer and industry needs.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We’re uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google’s broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.


  • Ensure domain expertise across Google Ads products and data privacy, up-skilling the Large Customer Sales organization where needed. Continue to develop the Data Activation strategy for Central Europe.
  • Partner with clients to improve the performance of ad campaigns across Search, Display and YouTube. Consult with stakeholders and clients with the goal of helping clients properly assess the value of their Google media investment.
  • Spread Google’s holistic Data Activation narrative at industry events and enable the team to do so as well. Facilitate sharing of Data Activation learnings and successes.
  • Coach, guide and develop Data Activation Specialists and encourage direct reports to pioneer new approaches in Data Activation based on developments on the market and product side.
  • Define the go-to-market strategy, targets and ad-hoc plans for Data Activation solutions in collaboration with Go-to-Market and Marketing teams.


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Experience with Google Ads and Google Marketing Platform solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading high performance teams across multiple locations and/or markets.
  • Experience in working in matrixed organizations and with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams and functions.
  • In-depth understanding of Google Ads and GMP solutions as well as implications of privacy regulations.
  • Track record of navigating ambiguity successfully.
  • Ability to speak and write German fluently and idiomatically.
