Tasks Interim CFO
The CFO is member of a two-man board, responsible for the corporate strategy and contacts with the supervisory board. He manages the finance function, as well as a number of support functions like HR, IT and procurement. He is in the lead in strategic projects like demergers and the development of new markets.
Ideal Interim CFO
The ideal candidate for this position has a relevant academic degree and a solid track record in managing the finance function in a middle-sized organization. He has technical knowledge about accounting, planning & control and taxes in an international setting. The ideal interim CFO has experience in managing other than the finance function. As an interim manager he has a solid track record in hitting the ground running. He is confident in German and international organizations. He speaks English and German, any other language would be an asset.
Our client is an international infrastructure company with headquarter in The Netherlands. The German subsidiary, an AG, has a revenue stream of about €60 million and 150 employees. Activities are in several German cities and the portfolio of activities is quite diverse and dynamic. Relations with (local) authorities is crucial in the success of our client.
Remuneration and Process
Currently a search is being started to find the new permanent CFO of our client. Until he or she starts, there will be an interim CFO. The project starts 1 January 2020 or sooner, if possible. It has not been decided yet how long the project will be, it is likely the initial contract will be 3 months with the intention to extend. Also, the seniority of the candidate and daily rate has not yet been decided upon.
