Job Purpose/Role

Are you passionate about investments and life insurance products? Are you interested in supporting the investment management of Allianz’s EUR 300bn+ German Life and Health portfolios? The team of AIM Investment Management Life/Health in Stuttgart is responsible for designing and implementing the investment strategy for the portfolios of the German Life and Health insurance companies of Allianz, which form just under 50% of the Group’s insurance investment assets. As such, we cooperate closely with our colleagues within the global AIM network as well as our internal and external asset managers in developing our investment strategy and adapting it to the specific needs of the portfolios we manage.
Your focus area will be in asset-liability management and in shaping the investment strategy including implementation through investment mandates.
You will be part of the investment management team for the market leading life insurance business of Allianz in Germany. You are analyzing the asset-liability position, develop recommendations for the strategic asset allocation and translate it into investable mandates. You will work with best-in-class asset-liability models and on a highly diversified truly global investment portfolio. For this you will be in close contact with our global AIM network such as our global Asset-Liability team, our global Investment Strategy team as well as our internal and external asset managers. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an investment team managing a truly global portfolio with plenty of opportunities to learn and develop. #### Key Responsibilities • Derive strategic asset allocation proposals, work with and improve asset-liability management models and tools
• Shape and implement the approved investment strategy taking both the long-term strategy and current tactical asset allocation into consideration, thereby achieving superior investment returns and financial results in line with individual targets and portfolio restrictions
• Select asset managers in cooperation with AIM’s global Asset Manager Management team and define guidelines and targets for dedicated investment strategies
• Monitor and analyze existing investments and respective asset managers for the German Life/Health portfolios and be first point of contact for questions in this area for relevant Stakeholders

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

• Passion for capital markets and investment products
• University degree in economics, mathematics, business administration or related course of studies (additional qualifications like e.g. actuarial degree, CFA, Ph. D. are a plus)
• Working experience in actuarial, investment management, or risk management functions are a plus (for Associate: at least three years of relevant working experience)
• Good analytical skills and strong interest in working with models
• Good communication and presentation skills (fluency in German and English), ability to present complex concepts in simple terms
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced international work environment and to multi-task
• Self-starter with a pragmatic and result-oriented approach to work
• Literacy with MS Office, basic programming skills are a plus (e.g. Java, R, SQL, Python) #### Supplementary information Our Benefits
