About the job

The Chrome OS Go-To-Market (GTM) team plays a critical role in ensuring Google’s continued growth by developing the Chrome OS (Chromebook) ecosystem. The team collaborates with a variety of external Chrome OS constituencies, including OEMs, retailers, and other strategic partners. The team is also responsible for setting overall business strategy in key markets, ensuring channel and partner launch readiness, and managing quarterly and long-term business planning. Combining relationship management, strategy, as well as day to day execution, we work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Finance, Business Development and Supply Chain to develop the Chrome OS business.

As a Partner Manager, you will manage relationships and key programs Retail Partners and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in the Chrome ecosystem in Germany to drive Chromebook business growth and product distribution while executing our GTM strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of relationships with retail partners, driving new opportunities for business growth and product distribution.
  • Partner with local original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to secure ranging at retail partners. Work with Retailers and OEM partners to identify business activities, secure their commitment and implement the strategy.
  • Execute on agreed activities, and launch activities, retail campaigns, promo activities, etc.
  • Follow up with external partners to collect and report results and analyze business impact.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in sales or business development within the retail consumer electronics space. Experience in agreement management.
  • Experience in vendor management, negotiations, sourcing, and vendor performance management.
  • Ability to speak and write in German and English fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience in channel management, and/or product management with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in retail business strategy or financial planning and execution.
  • Experience in online retail business and managing or working knowledge of profit and loss (P&L).
  • Ability to work in a consultative manner, influencing internal and external retailer partners.
