About the job

Whether you’re on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product’s journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you’ll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will raise awareness and drive usage of our Platforms and Ecosystems products (e.g., Android, Google Play, Chromebooks) by working closely with a cross-functional team across Marketing, Partnerships, PR, and Policy. Together with these teams, you will be in charge of setting up and executing campaigns, driving effective impact on Google Assistant perception and usage across platforms.

  • Manage marketing campaigns from strategy to execution, adapting global campaigns to local market needs and/or developing local approaches from scratch as appropriate.
  • Drive engagement and product adoption, orchestrating marketing strategies throughout the whole user funnel to deliver on core key performance indicators KPIs.
  • Develop and grow marketing partnerships with game developers, OEMs, carriers, and retailers to drive product adoption and usage.
  • Act as brand and product advocate, providing thought-leadership, inspiration and best practices, contributing to product excellence, and ensuring the success of our marketing communications.
  • Lead and manage agency relationships throughout the whole campaign cycle, partnering with multiple Google teams (e.g., PR, Product, EMEA/Global Marketing) to drive understanding, buy-in, and implementation of our strategies.


Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience in the gaming, mobile or telecommunications industry
  • Ability to speak and write in English and German fluently and idiomatically

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or equivalent.
  • Experience in go-to-market strategy.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Experience in audience segmentation, channel selection, and campaign measurement.
  • Ability to take initiative, provide breakthrough thinking, and strategy, delivering large-scale or low cost and/or multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop new strategic approaches to market challenges.
