Commercial Training Manager Europe (m/f/d)
The Commercial Training Manager Europe (m/f/d) works in conjunction with the sales and marketing leadership to deliver and evaluate training programs targeted at improving commercial employee performance. The position entails managing and working closely with sales staff to meet goals set forth by sales and marketing. Doing so will require: Implementing professional competences that shall be agreed upon by the commercial and HR lead of the division, and that will be used as the foundation of metrics of sales training effectiveness related to sales force sales skills development Developing, writing and publishing aligned company-specific education programs and training materials that ease and accelerate individual learning cycles and consequently facilitate salespeople performance and goal achievement To demonstrate the success of these procedures, this position collects data, creates metrics and interprets them through 2 dimensions: efficiency of training processes and impact on salespeople's performance RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Develop and apply corporate strategic product training in the division and make sure it is implemented efficiently within the European region Collaborate with global organization to develop training strategy and solutions; ensure regional/country localization/customization, language and infrastructure Coordinate the launch, implementation and facilitation of all corporate product training and make sure they are customized to the Europe region specificities and targeted goals Implement professional learning and education methodology (content and resources) in line with business complexity in the area of rapid diagnostics, which is adaptable to meet the changes and dynamics of the market Create a learning environment that is positively impacting sales force mindsets and behaviors - and consequently goal achievement and sales effectiveness - through the following actions: Conduct competency needs survey Conduct research in the field to diagnose the implementation of skills and knowledge acquired in training Apply and conduct product's training to develop key skills for the effectiveness of the sales teams Monitor performance indicators to ensure the ROI of the training programs Enable the commercial leadership to act as coaches and multipliers of a culture of constant learning, using metrics and learning methodology Expertise on product training and educational sales strategies ensuring efficient completion of the following tasks and missions: Drive improved commercial execution through management of the regional commercial sales and service training strategy Develop, implement and facilitate a variety of sales and product training programs, and manage sales certification Perform training needs assessments and evaluate program quality, and partner with the sales and marketing leadership team to continuously improve training courses Manage internal resources and external vendors to ensure robust program development, implementation and pull-through across the commercial organization Manage training KPIs and ensure adequate reporting and transparency on training activities in the region Participate in the development of others by facilitating training and providing guidance Exercise independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining desired results Plan organize and drive execution of project assignments of substantial variety and complexity, with schedules and milestones Provide significant and positive impact to short- and long-term organizational goals Implement the strategy, process and programs for commercial skill development programs
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required in cognitive or biological sciences or another related field At least 5-8 years' industry experience with ideally 4+ years of relevant work experience in the diagnostic, med device or pharma markets; familiarity with markets relevant to infectious diseases product lines preferred Robust experience in developing and successfully implementing product-orientated education programs Proficiency in instructional design, adult learning, presentation, active learning cycle and facilitation skills Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications, in writing and verbally Ability to prioritize multiple projects and competing demands Ability to develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior; lead and influence without authority Experience with or exposure to various types of databases and other computer software and sales training tools English and German or French or Spanish required; additional language skills preferred Travel up to 20% of the time domestically and/or internationally to support training programs relationships/main contacts
