Shape the future of light with us as a/an Research Engineer Mid IR Epitaxy (d/m/f) Location: Regensburg Your Duties development of novel epitaxy structures and fabrication using MOCVD growth processes targeting mid infrared applications (2-10 µm) design, execution and analysis of epitaxy experiments to enable continuous improvement based on proven and newly to be developed characterization techniques (e.g. µ-PL, PL, microscopy, SEM, XRD, AFM, SIMS, etc.) extensive collaboration in DOE planning and interpretation with interdisciplinary teams of experts in simulation, epitaxy, FE processing and analytics Supervision of various internal and external partnerships in academics and industry Your Qualifications academic master?s degree in physics, material science or similar (preferably with PhD) relevant experience in area of MOCVD epitaxy, preferably targeting emission in the mid infrared spectral range utilizing antimonides profound knowledge of semiconductor technology and device physics sound competence in characterization of (opto-)electronic semiconductor samples and devices experience in MOCVD systems engineering (incl. in-situ measurement) would be a plus team player with creative problem solving attitude paired with high level of commitment very good English skills mandatory (German would be a plus) You will benefit from flexible working time schedules and workplace arrangements an attractive salary as well as our company pension scheme a wide-ranging offer of further education and training corporate sports activities and special rates Apply now and advance your career in a position that challenges you professionally and provides you with many benefits.
