Position Overview

The EMEA Leadership Recruiting Senior Coordinator will support our LR Managers and Directors with their searches and team projects. The Senior Coordinator will also interface with our clients (RPLs and GPLs), search firm partners and candidates on a scheduling, interview process and logistics matters. This individual will be privy to highly confidential candidate and internal Bain talent-related matters. Professionalism and discretion is an inherent attribute required for this role.

The Senior Coordinator will initially weight his/her time toward candidate support activities. For an experienced candidate, with a strong interest in leadership level recruiting and ability to quickly scale his/her learning curve, we expect the role will very soon morph into an equally weighted candidate support and LR ops support position.

Candidate support: 70% of role to start; 50% after ramp-up

  • Organize and schedule interviews, status updates, debrief meetings with a strong understanding of business priorities
  • Proactive management of very complex Partner calendars often with significant time zone variances
  • Forge strong relationships with EA peers; know when to push for desired outcomes when there are conflicts
  • Develop strong connections with our search firm partners and candidates as a frequent external contact for the LR team
  • Manage interviewee schedules, coordinating with the local office, practice and search firm
  • Anticipate and coordinate travel needs as necessary including booking
  • Prepare and send out offeree/new hire gift packages

LR Operations support: 30% of role to start; 50% after ramp-up

  • Develop and maintain search documents in our shared files; proactively update BDP materials as content evolves
  • Collect and synthesize key points from interview feedback to be used in interviewer briefing materials
  • Participate in EMEA status calls with search firms and hiring managers; communicate and manage next steps after calls
  • Utilize existing recruiting systems for data entry/tracking, interview management and reporting
  • Support the migration of processes and tracking to new Avature system. Train core EA team on using LR’s Avature ‘instance’ for scheduling and partner feedback
  • Interface with accountants payable department with LR team related invoice questions
  • Spearhead and support the planning and logistics of the annual LR global offsite
  • Take ownership of one LR priority project (e.g. search firm contract database & reporting; PEG talent pipeline updates; LR NPS surveys for hiring managers and new hires)
  • Find ways to improve how we work – take at cause approach to candidate support and operations improvements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a fast paced environment supporting senior leaders – consulting or other professional services firm is strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, basic business intelligence and exemplary written and oral communication skills required
  • Strong interpersonal, project management, and analytical skills
  • Flexible work-style to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and manage last-minute changes
  • Ability to represent Bain to prospective candidates and interact with senior Bain contacts
  • Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information in a professional/mature manner
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint)
