(Senior) Patient Communication & Support Manager Gastroenterology (m/w/d)

Under the direction of the Marketing Director Gastroenterology, this individual is responsible for the development and implementation of communication and support services for patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) - in close cooperation with Medical Affairs & Corporate Affairs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, execute and lead the patient communication & support strategy that reflects our vision of putting patients at the center of everything we do and is aligned to the Gastroenterology franchise strategic goals.
  • Actively contribute to the development of launch & brand plans to ensure disease area strategies incorporate the patients’ perspective.
  • Responsible for creating a deep understanding of IBD patient journeys, needs and channel preferences. Acting as subject matter expert to all colleagues within IBD.
  • Develop support material and programs tailored to IBD patients’ needs.
  • Work closely with corporate affairs & patient advocacy group to ensure alignment of all patient centric activities.
  • Member of the affiliate brand team: Actively contribute to the development of launch & brand plans as well as tactical implementation of brand strategies.
  • Close and trustful collaboration with the cross-functional internal team, with the affiliate brand team, vendors, external Stakeholders and thought leaders
  • Ensure full compliance and approval of all initiatives, in-line with all laws and regulations, as well as industry codes and internal SOPs.
  • Manage patient communications budget closely to ensure expenditure is aligned with the brand plan. Skills/Knowledge Required:
  • University degree or equivalent required.
  • Proven success and profound marketing, medical or non-profit management experience with a focus on patient communication & support.
  • Launch experience in the German pharmaceutical market, ideally in Gastroenterology.
  • Demonstrated patient centric thinking.
  • Experience in managing a patient support program
  • Strong affinity and knowledge to online and offline media and innovative social media channels.
  • Excellent understanding of the general healthcare and biopharma landscape and opportunities.
  • Customer focus, strong business acumen, strategic thinking and open mind.
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel and establish positive working relationships.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Fluency in English and German, both oral and written communications.
