Let’s talk about the team:

The role of the People Business Partner is to work closely with the relevant local leaders and the local and/or global People team, acting as a catalyst for increased focus and capability build in talent development, succession planning, workforce planning, employee engagement, employee wellness and performance management.

In your role, you are responsible for pro-actively advising and coaching leaders, empowering them to enable their people to be the best they can be and supporting them in translating the strategy into tangible actions

Specifically, you’ll business partner with ResMed Germany Healthcare team. Strategically positioned, ResMed Healthcare, Germany is both an integrated part of the ResMed family and a standalone business.

It provides home care, telemonitoring, retail services and consultations, and also leads the German market in digitally enabled patient care. Resmed Germany serves more than 200,000 patients with chronic diseases.

You will be part of the People Business Partners team and partner very closely with People colleagues from People Development, Reward, Talent, Talent Acquisition and the People Shared Services teams.

Let’s talk about the main responsibilities:

  • Partner with line management to engage the business in developing and creating a People strategy to support the execution of Business Strategy through practical principles, and clear, realistic goals.
  • Recognise and understand the diverse business and cultural requirements of each area of the business and draw appropriate conclusions regarding priorities.  
  • Implement People programs locally while being mindful of the global People strategy as well as participating in global initiatives and adapting them to local needs
  • Advise and coach all level of managers across a wide range of employee relations issues
  • Provide practical and wise counsel (not HR best practices or process for HR sake) to the business in relation to our talent (the organization, acquisition, development and retention of) and successfully influence and deliver strategies to meet business goals.
  • Lead and/or participate in organization design and talent strategy planning and discussions with business leader(s)
  • Partner with the relevant CoE (Centre of Excellence) to design and implement programs to help attract, retain and develop ResMed Talent.
  • Work with leaders to efficiently and effectively execute all annual People processes. These processes include Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Learning and Development and Compensation Planning and execution.
  • Work collaboratively with the Strategic People Business Partner to align local business people strategy with broader horizontal or vertical strategy.
  • Hands-on with non-standardised solutions

Let’s talk Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in a related area with proven experience in HR business partnering
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management
  • Hands on person with project leadership skills / coordination and coaching of people
  • Facilitates effective change management initiatives into our fast growing and dynamic business.
  • Fluent understanding of Employee Relations and local market HR practices & policies, including collaboration with works councils
  • Experience in working in international matrix organisations
  • Fluent German and English
