Job description

In your new role you will: - Define, develop, deploy and maintain efficient methodologies** for **embedded SW development lifecycle workflow use-cases - Take over responsibility for a subsystem , relevant tools & best practices and lead a small feature team from requirements until release - Define strategic migration approaches in order to converge different solutions in our embedded SW development toolchain - Maintain an overview of the various tools used for above methodologies and their interconnects - you will have the chance to scout for new trends and transform them into solutions - Closely collaborate with users from R&D and develop tailored solutions for specific business environments - Focus on continuous improvement** and application of state-of-the-art practices** within our framework solutions - Contribute to all relevant integrated toolchain subsystems and frameworks - Consult our R&D projects and stakeholders for best practices

You are best equipped for this task if you have: - A sound technical skill set based on a degree in** Software Engineering , Computer Science , Information Technology** or equivalent - At least 6 years of professional experience along the whole embedded SW development lifecycle , preferably in a safety-critical R&D environment - Broad knowledge in embedded SW development processes and tools - Expertise in engineering lifecycle management (PLM / ALM) and an automation mindset - Profound in Enterprise IT SW & applications as well as IT infrastructure - Experienced in deploying new processes/ change management in a large, international company - Very good communication skills in English - German would be a plus Beyond, this is the eco-system you will be work in and these technical skills are helpful to master the tasks: - Passion for writing** clean and readable source code** in both object-oriented & script programming (expert level in Python, Java, Groovy and Shell) - Expertise in automation (mainly Jenkins & Jenkins pipelines, Jenkins plugin development & configuration) and storage/ archiving (e.g. Artifactory) - Proficiency with build management and package managers (e.g. CMake, SCons, Conan, NuGet) - Knowledge in common tools for configuration management & source control management (e.g. Git, SVN, ClearCase, BitBucket, Gerrit or Eclipse integration plug-in), change management (e.g. Jira) and test management frameworks (e.g. robot framework) - Sound knowledge in code coverage tools (e.g. CTC, Bullseye, gcov) and in static code analysis tools (e.g. SonarQube, Polyspace, CheckMarx and BlackDuck) - Hands-on experience in unit testing (host/ target) and test-driven development (e.g. Tessy, Unity, Ceedling) - Ideally knowledge in functional safety / ISO 26262, ASPICE, requirements management (e.g. Jama), architecture (e.g. Enterprise Architect) as well as virtualization/containerization tools (e.g. Docker, Puppet)
