In order to strengthen our Scientific and Regulatory Affairs (SRA) department based in Trier, we are looking for a Conventional Products Assessment Manager (m/f/d) on a temporary basis for one year during parental leave with potential extension. Your responsibilities: Provide technical and scientific interpretation of worldwide regulations pertaining to ingredients in tobacco products Retrieve new component formulations from JT Group's worldwide suppliers and manufacturers for conventional products under appropriate confidentiality arrangements Ensure availability of appropriate product information for regulatory and toxicological assessment within SRA Maintenance of all required ingredient-related details in SRA's Secure Database and ensure that they are available in support of worldwide regulatory reporting and pre-market registrations Conduct regulatory compliance checks for potential new ingredients and assess regulatory compliance for product launches in new markets Support the JT Group ingredient evaluation program Provide Support for conducting hazard identification and risk assessment of new ingredients and materials Responsibility for the material qualification, including the SRA input in PLM and the change order approval in SAP Update supplier data, qualify new suppliers and manufacturers and verify the integrity of supplier disclosures in light of SRA requirements Your profile: University degree in a technical/scientific subject; Food Technology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Toxicology preferred First experience in consumer goods industry, preferably in SRA or other technical functions Knowledge of worldwide regulations and standards concerning tobacco products is a plus Distinct project management and communication skills Strong personality; proven ability in building and maintaining good working relations as well as good representative skills Good knowledge of common PC software applications (MS Office etc.) is mandatory Fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus We offer you a challenging and varied job in an international company.
