Over more than 100 years, our client has grown into one of the world’s leading global manufacturers of highly advanced, efficient engine products and equipment. With around 20,000 employees and operating in over 130 countries they generate an annual turnover over 5bn euros. Within the construction division, they have developed a full line-up of construction machinery, including mini excavators, wheel loaders and carriers. They also develop, manufacture, sell and provide aftersales servicing for related products such as small generators, lighting towers, and welding equipment.
In order to further expand their outstanding market positioning, we are looking for an internationally oriented and strategically thinking HR Manager, who lives in central Europe (Germany, Netherlands, France) and/or is willing to travel frequently and can start as soon as possible.
Your tasks as HR Director
Your overall purpose is to implement projects with a European scope and the overall HR strategy in line with the values and mission of the group.
You will manage a wide variety of international projects within the fields of organizational development, trainings, compensation & benefits, recruiting and staffing, HR compliance and HRIS.
Therefore, you set up a strategy in order to reduce the absenteeism rate and foster employee engagement , and support the implementation of an idea management system in order to further develop the continuous improvement process.
You ensure a constructive and goal-oriented cooperation with the works council and industrial unions, and you advise the management on labor law issues.
Together with your HR colleagues, you are responsible for several production sites in Europe with about 1,000 employees. Working from a home office is possible, but will require significant travel throughout Germany, France and the Netherlands.
Through your previous experience within a global company , you have built up an international mind-set, hence you do not think in local boundaries.
With your charismatic personality , you want to make a difference and to a course: with sensitivity and assertiveness, you succeed in attracting people of every culture and thus ensuring the success of HR processes and company goals.
Ideally you come with a degree in business administration, economics, law or equivalent, and relevant professional experience in an HR responsibility, preferably of a manufacturing company, plant or division. Having worked in an international, English-speaking environment is a must.
Previous experience with work councils and labor unions is mandatory , as well as conversational German skills. The company language is English though. Basic knowledge of French is considered a plus.
