The System FAE for Radar is the primary technical resource for the field sales force regarding the automotive mega trends Radar and Autonomous Driving and is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage (e.g. early engagement) of the sales process across automotive customers in Germany. Working in conjunction with the account teams as the key technical advisor and system advocate specifically for Radar system applications for Mobility & Transportation, the System FAE must be able to identify customer platform requirements and provide together with the automotive BUs solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The System FAE must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with the customers at several locations in Germany as well as ADI internal automotive BU’s, throughout the entire sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system expert level for trader based vehicle systems and sub system applications across multiple Tier1s and OEMs in Germany
  • Listen, understand and convey customer requirements

Provide design and specification development support to customers and automotive BU

  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFQs
  • Identify customer’s needs and sales opportunities to help future growth
  • Help to capture ADI value in the account system
  • Assist in the definition, design and development of new products and tools
  • Travel to customer sites together with Account Managers and Mobility FAEs/SMEs supporting deep dive Mobility technology discussions
  • Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is aligned with the ADI automotive BU’s Strategy
  • Maintain professional business relationships with customer experts at several Tier1 and OEM in close cooperation with the GAM/KAMs and Mobility FAEs/SMEs
  • Support execution and conversion with customer project management tasks and provide status of ongoing projects and future projects within MS Dynamics as part of the account teams

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience >10 years in electric engineering and/or semiconductor and Radar applications
  • Preferable experience in automotive engineering, and all related product life cycle processes
  • Good understanding of automotive radar system engineering and vehicle architecture
  • A solid understanding of electric control systems and analog semiconductor applications
  • Strong communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Available for Travel 50%
  • Proven Customer Project Management skills.
