Develop novel image generation algorithms that prioritize fairness and mitigate biases across various demographic groups
Investigate and implement techniques from machine learning, computer vision, and fairness-aware AI to ensure equitable representation and treatment in generated images
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate ethical considerations and societal implications into the development process, fostering responsible AI innovation
Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, contributing to the advancement of fairness-aware AI and promoting transparency and accountability in AI model development
Collaborate in preparing funding applications, supervise theses, and support the professorship's research and teaching endeavors
Master's degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field, with a solid understanding of deep learning principles and techniques
Experience in developing and implementing machine learning algorithms, particularly in the domains of image generation using diffusion models or computer vision
Familiarity with fairness-aware AI concepts and techniques, such as bias mitigation strategies, fairness metrics, and ethical considerations in AI
Outstanding programming skills in languages commonly used in AI research (e.g. Python) and proficiency with relevant libraries/frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams, with a passion for addressing societal challenges through innovative AI research
