For our Business Unit Oligomers, represented on the Cologne site, we are looking for a Business Analyst (m/w/d) Our Company: INEOS is a rapidly growing manufacturer of petrochemicals, specialty and intermediate chemicals and polymers. INEOS includes 171 manufacturing sites in 24 countries throughout the world with approximately 19,000 employees. INEOS's annual turnover is around $60bn making it the 3rd largest chemical company in the world. The INEOS Koeln site is INEOS' largest petrochemical site with 2200 employees, annual production capacity of 5 million tes and EUR2.6B annual revenue. 6 businesses operate on the site including Oligomers. INEOS Oligomers globally has 6 manufacturing sites. Your responsibilities Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing activities including Global Balance Sheet preparation Update raw material and by-product costs while posting consumption Ensure accurate inventory reporting and intercompany invoicing Prepare all necessary accruals (e.g. demurrage, freight) Understand manufacturing processes, inputs and activities and be able to explain their impact to the Cologne financials Prepare freight cost and sales analysis as well as margin calculations Develop additional analysis and reports as necessary to assist Commercial and Management Analyze and investigate variances with the appropriate site personnel Provide budget support to Finance, Commercial and Logistics Propose solutions to any issues between the different BU's and departments of the Cologne site, being the point of contact for Oligomers ( i.e. requests from auditors, annual stock counts, etc.) Your qualifications Universal degree in Finance and Accounting and more than ten years professional experience in Financial Accounting, preferably within the chemical industry; Chartered Accountant or German equivalent Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German Demonstrated ability to analyze data and problem solve Extensive experience (super-user) with SAP financial systems Experience with MS Office, specifically strong Excel skills Knowledge of VAT rules and regulations Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision on an ongoing basis Enjoy working in a close team environment on common goals Confident in working closely with leadership on a variety of projects Flexible and nonpartisan, focused on supporting the business goals Sensitivity to cultural differences in working with international colleagues What we have to offer Diverse tasks and attractive conditions that meet our high expectations.
